Armed with a pick-up truck and a dream, company president Scott de Villers started Pulse Stage Lighting out of his basement in 1990. At its inception the goals of the Company were to service the needs of the NJ community for lighting and staging production. Today, 25 years later, it is so much more.
As word of the company’s expertise made its way around the circuit, Pulse rose to become the equipment provider, production support and lighting designer for many prestigious concerts and events most recently for Neil Diamond, Alicia Keys and Adam Lambert, as well as high-profile broadcasts affiliated with the upcoming Presidential election as Chris Christie announced his candidacy and a recent event in NYC for Vice President Joe Biden. We haven’t even touched on the countless Festivals we have participated in…from Electric Adventure in Atlantic City to Rock Carnival in Clark we have organized, supplied and designed multiple stages to fit every type of music’s needs!
A nationally-recognized distributor for many of the industry’s most elite equipment manufacturers including GLP, Chauvet, Elation, Avolites and Applied Electronics has helped expand the company into the growing market of installations for theaters, schools and churches.
The Company was named the production provider to NYC’s hottest event space, SIR Stage 37 overseeing production of a broad range of corporate events for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Johnny Walker, Target, Nike and Rayban to name a few.

Scott knowledgably oversees every step of his operation. Since its start in 1990 to present his ingenuity, hard work, respectability and pricing have made him a present industry leader. Whether a modification of a client’s needs to the design aspects of a major show, he works tirelessly to always get it right the first time and guarantee success. Highly regarded for his passion and dedication, Mr. de Villers has consulted for many companies and is considered an authority on technology, audio, rigging, installation and sales. Equally accomplished on a personal level, Scott maintains an active role with the community and supports organizations that benefit healthcare, small business and education. In his spare time, he enjoys cars, range shooting, travel and music

Handling the Staff management for 9 years, while building relationships and cultivating a strong client base, an invaluable asset possessing the highest standard of communication and organizational skills.
Donny Palmer
Audio Engineer/Rigger
With 20+ years of Audio and Rigging Experience, his expertise and “get it done” attitude are one of Pulse’s main assets. When not in the office, Donny is the Touring Sound Engineer for Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses.

Rob Steel
Lighting Designer & Technician
With over 30 years of touring experience with everyone from Michael Jackson to Garth Brooks, Rob has assisted in programming and designing many of our Corporate and Live Shows and trouble-shooting repairs onsite for most manufacturer’s equipment.
